Absolutely gorgeous section of the river. Lots of twists and turns , cypress and tupelo trees with breathtaking views. This section took us about 4.5 hours and we stopped twice to rest. We had about a 50 yard portage due to shallow water and we encountered shallow water again towards the end but managed to make it through without getting out. Sand bottoms and clear water throughout the entire way. I have now paddled 3 sections of the Wolf river encompassing 19 miles and still many more sections to go! This trip was my first time out in my new purple kayak...it was wonderful!!! I named her Ultra Violet.
